DE: In ihrer Einzelausstellung ‚Natura Morta‘ nähert sich die italienische Künstlerin Noemi Durighello dem Stillleben auf ihre charakteristische abstrakte Art und Weise. Dabei liegt ihr Fokus auf den natürlichen Elementen, welche in (vor allem barocken) Stillleben enthalten sind. In Form von Früchten, Blumen oder Lebensmitteln tauchen sie in den Gemälden auf und erinnern uns an die Endlichkeit und Vergänglichkeit allen irdischen Lebens – Vanitas. Darüber hinaus entwickelt sie durch Abstraktion und Dekonstruktion von Objekten in ihrer analogen und digitalen Umwelt sowie visuelle Assoziation und formales Vergleichen ihre eigene Formensprache, welche vornehmlich durch das Medium der Ölmalerei zum Ausdruck gebracht wird. Erstmals präsentiert Durighello zum Anlass dieser Ausstellung Werke, in welchen sie die Bild-im-Bild-Thematik wortwörtlich genommen hat und durch aufwändige Leinwand-Konstruktionen die Bildkomposition hinterfragt.

ENG: In her solo exhibition ‚Natura Morta‘, the Italian artist Noemi Durighello approaches the subject of still lifes in her characteristic abstract manner. Her focus lies on the natural elements contained in (mainly baroque) still life paintings. They appear in the form of fruit, flowers or food and remind us of the finiteness and transience of all earthly life – the vanitas motif. In addition, she develops her own formal language through the abstraction and deconstruction of objects in her analogue and digital environment as well as visual association and formal comparison, which is primarily expressed through the medium of oil painting. On the occasion of this exhibition, Durighello is presenting works for the first time in which she has taken the picture-within-a-picture theme literally and by means of elaborate canvas constructions questions the composition.
We are delighted to have Gewndolin Kremer as a guest speaker at the opening of the exhibition.
