EN: In her solo exhibition 'Natura Morta', Italian artist Noemi Durighello approaches still life in her characteristic abstract way. Her focus is on the natural elements contained in (mainly baroque) still lifes. They appear in the paintings in the form of fruit, flowers or food and remind us of the finiteness and transience of all earthly life - vanitas. In addition, she develops her own formal language through the abstraction and deconstruction of objects in her analogue and digital environment as well as visual association and formal comparison, which is primarily expressed through the medium of oil painting. On the occasion of this exhibition, Durighello is presenting works for the first time in which she has taken the image-within-an-image theme literally and scrutinises the composition of the image through elaborate canvas constructions.
