In-between is the moment between two steps, the glance that lingers briefly, the pause that no one has planned. The exhibition is located precisely there: between the shopping route and the working day, between the street corner and the square, between people.

A metal sculpture that takes up and continues the lines of the surrounding buildings. Paper webs that slowly transform under the influence of moisture and time. Shopping trolleys that become a walk-in circle. Flags that write feminist urban criticism in the wind. Tree hybrids that blend seamlessly into the landscape and only reveal their incongruity at second glance. Viktor Voi, Alex Lebus, Levent Kunt, Nadin Reschke and Lukas Maksay present their artworks at very different locations in the city and pose questions about belonging, change and what remains invisible in everyday life but is there.

The Kunstverein Meißen e.V. is staging the exhibition from 13 June to 29 August 2026 as part of the Meissen Summer of Culture in collaboration with the city of Meissen at various locations in the old town and on the premises of the Kunstverein. An extensive supporting programme with guided tours, workshops and readings invites further exploration.
