Zuza Golińska // SLIMY
26.04.2018 — 06.05.2018
Opening Thursday, April 26, 16:00-22:00
Schimmel Projects - Art Centre Dresden is pleased to invite you to SLIMY, an exhibition by the Polish artist Zuza Golińska. Using language and light, and accompanied by a performance on the opening evening, Zuza Golińska will create a site-specific installation exploring the sadness of art in an ironic way.
Zuza Golińska’s work deals with the relationship between humans, public space and architecture and is strongly influenced by the way people behave and interact with the public realm. She studied at Miroslaw Balka’s Studio of Spatial Activities at the Academy of Fine Arts Warsaw, where she also completed her Master’s degree in 2015.
In January 2018 Zuza Golińska won the ArtePrize Award, organised by ArteVue and the Delfina Foundation. Later this year she will be exhibiting at the Museum of Modern Art Warsaw and at CCA Tbilisi. We are very proud to present her first solo exhibition in Germany at Schimmel Projects - Art Centre Dresden.
We would like thank the Freundeskreis der HFBK Dresden, Café OHA, Netzwerk Kreativ and Studentenwerk Dresden for supporting the exhibition.
Exhibition duration: April 26 - May 6, 2018
Opening hours: Thursday - Sunday, 14:00-17:00
