The "Forum für zeitgenössische Fotografie Dresden e. V." association was founded ten years ago on the initiative of Günter Starke. With its exhibition space on Neustädter Markt and a diverse programme of events focusing on artistic photography, it has since become a permanent fixture in the cultural life of Dresden's Neustadt district. To mark the anniversary, we would like to invite you to a members' exhibition. This is an exception in the Forum's programme, as it has been agreed that works by photographers from near and far who are not members of the association will be presented, rather than works by members. The exhibition is therefore a rare opportunity to see photographs from the circle of association members.

Another issue of our "Photography Today" series has been published in time for the anniversary, in which we look back on some of the many events that have taken place at the Forum in recent years. This time, the focus of the issue is on conversations that we have held in our "Photographic Salons" with artists as part of their exhibition projects at the Forum. They give an impression of how the artists found their personal approach to photography and what experiences they have gained with the medium. The artists represented in this issue are renowned, internationally recognised photographers (Prof. Peter Bialobrzeski, Hansgert Lambers, Paule Saviano), as well as young colleagues (Misha Kominek, Katarzyna Mazur) and photographers from Dresden's Neustadt district (Sandra Rosenstiel).
