WELTUNTER - Exhibition by Danny Hermann
artwork by Danny Hermann

In the exhibition WELTUNTER, painter and graphic artist Danny Hermann will be presenting his multifaceted works at the Full Moon Gallery from 24 April to 22 May. The Dresden-based artist paints in oil and works graphically with ink or the letterpress method of woodcut. In his artistic work, Danny Hermann navigates through the turbulence of a modern era in transition. He is particularly interested in the duality of artificial intelligence, the ambivalence of social media and acute environmental problems - all topics that are on our doorstep and ready to invade our space. In his works, the artist draws on a deep aesthetic that not only enriches his visual language but also characterises his approach to content. Danny Hermann finds inspiration in the emotionally charged works of Edward Munch, Marianne von Werefkin and Wolfgang Petrick, as well as in the influences of his former professor Ralf Kerbach. His figurative elements open a window into a world in which emotion and reflection speak their own language.Danny Hermann completed his art studies at the Dresden University of Fine Arts (HfbK) in 2016 and was subsequently a master student of Prof Ralf Kerbach (HfbK) until 2019. He has been a member of Künstlerbund Dresden e.V. since 2016 and has taken part in international exhibitions as a freelance artist in Florence, Rome, Milan, Berlin, Dresden and New York, among others. "With my artworks, I want to open up a space for dialogue in which viewers are invited to enter into an inner exchange, reflect on their own thoughts and feelings and develop a deeper understanding of the pressing issues of our time."
