"Light and line" play the main role in Ursula Strozynski's work. Her compositions are characterised by the precision and spontaneity of her lines as well as their simplicity and lightness. The artist succeeds in suggesting space and expanse with few means. Strozynski's depictions also appear light-filled and atmospheric. Her sheets convey, among other things, various weather conditions and moods of the sea as well as the special flair of southern towns, their streets and roofscapes. As an architect, Strozynski has a keen eye for the tectonic and for contrasts of light and shadow. In addition to drawings, this exhibition also includes collages, monotypes, various prints and works in mixed media.
