Opening: 18 August 2026, 6.00 pm – with a sound performance (Sebastian Bestier)

The second exhibition in the annual series ‘Meine, Deine – Unsere Stadt’ (‘My, Yours – Our City’) by the independent and open artists’ group ‘Neue Nischen’ features paintings and is entitled ‘saubere.schwanken.herum’. This three-word code takes you straight to the Albertinum, whose collection of paintings will undoubtedly have influenced, in one way or another, all artists living and working in Dresden. From Caspar David Friedrich to Gerhard Richter: the Albertinum houses a collection of masterpieces from 1800 onwards, spanning Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, New Objectivity and the contemporary period. The exhibition ‘saubere.schwanken.herum’ reflects the influence of these diverse eras, styles, artistic concepts and perspectives in a painterly manner. On display are paintings by Sebastian Bestier, Conny Köckritz, Lars Kohl, Michael Kral, Katharina Probst and Nadine Wölk – artistic interior and exterior views, works that oscillate between tranquillity and dynamism, structure and chaos, daylight and night-time, liveliness and solitude.
