An exploration of visual reality

The three painting positions share a common element at their centre: a direct, radical approach to visible reality. Despite this thematic and technical relationship, the artistic realisations are fundamentally different, which leads to a stimulating field of tension.

The title Peak Eye refers to the concept of peak oil, which in economics refers to the maximum production of crude oil. In the context of this exhibition, the maximum production of visual information by the eye is to be described associatively as a claim of artistic realism!
