2 min ago seeks to position artistic approaches outside the framework of Art-Institutions in public every day life. International artworks that challenge and reflect on Photography as an artistic medium in the context of digital age, social image and political content can be submitted through an open call. The participating artworks are selected by a top class Jury and will be displayed for 10 days on Public Billboards in the urban space of the City of Düsseldorf (Germany) during DÜSSELDORF PHOTO in February 2018.
Every Artist is eligible to apply for 2 min ago with up to 3 artworks!
Following documents need to be submitted via email to Duesseldorfphotopanels@gmail.com until 26.11.2017, 23:59 MEZ:
– up to 3 Artworks formatted as a 252 x 356 cm pdf file, max resolution 150 dpi and additionally as a ca. 10 x 15 cm jpeg file, max resolution 300 dpi
– one pdf file including Name, Address, Email Address, phone number, website (if applicable) short CV, short description of the artwork(s), Information about the Artworks (Title, medium, size, year)
The Participants will be announced in January 2018
Printing, billposting and documentation of the Exhibition will be provided by Duesseldorf Photo Panels. By submitting their artwork the participants agree to the documentation and publishing of their artworks in digital and print media.
The collaborative Exhibition concept by Lucie Freynhagen and Svenja Wichmann works at the curatorial interception of Art and Life and focuses on conceptual artistic situations. To photograph is to appropriate the thing photographed. It means putting oneself into a certain relation to the world that feels like knowledge - and, therefore like power.
