malenki.net is a platform for self-published artist publications and editions in small print runs. Founded in 2010 by Katrin Kamrau and Robert Schlotter as a peer-to-peer initiative, they support artists with their projects. With their content programme malenki.net operates at the interface of contemporary visual arts, photography and artistic publishing. They currently offer around 170 titles by around 80 artists and photographers from various language areas, including English, French, German, Dutch and Japanese.

The Herbarium Riso is a public archive and research initiative on risography and stencil print products such as (artist) publications, records, zines, ephemera and colour cards. In 2010, Franziska Brandt and Moritz Grünke (we make it & Gloria Glitzer) to collect these special print products. The initiative, which is entirely self-financed, relies on swaps, purchases and donations. In most cases, "stencil printing" means printing with a Risograph (or Riso for short) machine. To date, the archive comprises over 3,600 publications as well as numerous ephemera and colour cards.

Since January 2025, the Riso machine SF Walter has been printing all of Galerie Ursula Walter's printed matter. The printing process creates a texture similar to screen printing with rich colours and slight offsets. It works with soya oil-based inks and stencils made from rice paper and is considered more environmentally friendly than all other printing techniques. SF Walter will be available by appointment as an open Riso workshop in the gallery's exhibition space for the duration of the exhibition.

The exhibition is funded by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony. This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget adopted by the Saxon State Parliament. The annual programme of Galerie Ursula Walter is supported by the Office for Culture and Monument Protection of the State Capital Dresden.
