Volkmar Fritzsche, metal designer and photographic artist, opens his studio:

I founded the aktfotoARTdresden museum in 2019, having spent some 25 years working with the photographic nude myself. My work has always involved experimenting with the medium of nude photography. Separately from this, I was drawn to creating purely digital, abstract images using Photoshop and other programmes – ‘painting’ digitally, so to speak. This gave rise to particularly captivating interplays of form and colour, which I call ‘scenographies’. At the same time, I had the idea of merging my own nude photographs with these often surreal ‘formations’.
