From 1 to 16 October, Nina Piatrouskaya (born 1985 in Minsk, Belarus) and Julia Suptel (born 1987 in Kyiv, Ukraine) will be exhibiting a joint selection of their works at the Hole of Fame. My German is Abstract brings together floral and dendrological motifs in acrylic, oil paint, oil pastels and soft pastels to form a vibrant reflection on the experience of migration: What is life like in a country whose language one is only just learning; where a sense of belonging is only just beginning to develop, whilst one gradually grows into a new identity?

In addition to the regular exhibition opening hours, there will be workshops for the general public aged 15 and over in German, Ukrainian and English on 4 and 8 October (Participation is by donation; prior registration is requested – further information at www.holeoffame.de)
