From stonemason to typesetter, from typographer to graphic artist, from draughtsman to painter: the exhibition of the soon-to-be 98-year-old Dresden artist Werner Pinkert offers insights into a colourful, multi-layered life's work. On display is a multifaceted spectrum that includes watercolour/pastel, acrylic and oil painting, collage, copperplate engraving, calligraphy/typography, lithography and drawing from more than 80 years: Nudes, abstracts, landscapes, portraits, cityscapes, animals and even "football luck". Coloured sketches and a sketchbook are exhibited in a table display case. Another display case contains three original articles by Pinkert about Dresden village centres for the Sächsische Zeitung newspaper.
