November 2019 - A stab in the heart - Early Monday morning, unknown persons break into Dresden's Green Vault and steal a piece of our Saxon identity along with the jewellery worth tens of thousands of euros. That's what you read in the newspapers for months. Mixed feelings make their way from the depths of your body to the inside of your skin and slowly creep through your pores. You open your eyes and envelop the hitherto intangible object with your whole being and lose yourself in it. It is all about this: surrendering to the idol, about the immersion of the "I" in the work - right up to its own dissolution. The MIXED FEELINGS exhibition unites the positions of sculptor Christian Holze and media artist Manuel Sékou and creates a space for the sublimity of art. In dialogue, the two explore a field of tension between high and subcultures and the resulting affiliations and identities.
