Kunst.Raum.Konzerte präsentiert: Musik trifft Yoga! Mit Forest Roots & Anna Zepnick.
08.08.2024
The Kunst.Raum.Konzerte offer a platform for the fusion of sound-, image- and space-based arts. Music is always joined by another art form. In addition to playing their own pieces, each band develops a composition in real time together with the audience.
Forest Roots is an independent electronic music netlabel from Upper Lusatia that draws inspiration from the local nature and idyllic countryside. The music moves in the genres of ambient, deep & dub techno, soundscapes and drone. It is characterised by atmospheric depths, achieved through numerous field recordings and the use of synthesizers and modern music software. They have been developing their unique sound for over 10 years. Live performances are accompanied by the voice of English poet Jeremy Clarke. The label was founded in October 2012 by producers Marcel Frehse and Heiko Fehrmann (alias "Nemo & Jaymon").
Brought up, schooled and studied in Dresden, Anna Zepnick gained her diploma and concert exam as a pianist. She was a lecturer at the Dresden University of Music until 2012 before setting up a private piano class. She has composed incidental music for the Societaetstheater Dresden, the Theaterkahn Dresden and Schloss Scharfenberg. She has dedicated herself to literary writing since 2012. In 2020 she published the audio book "und singt ewige lieder" and in 2024 her debut was published by Poetenladen Leipzig. She has also been a trained yoga teacher since 2020 and gives yoga classes in Dresden. She emphasises the natural connection between yoga and music, which can penetrate the body through vibrations and release tension.
