Körper/Bodies explores the transformation of bodies, identities and relationships in the digital age. The exhibition brings together installation and photographic art by Christian Rätsch in dialogue with sculptural works by Mira Friedrich. Rätsch operates at the boundaries of the physical: he arranges everyday objects into weightless, often borderline installations, thereby questioning perception and materiality. Friedrich, on the other hand, approaches the body through biological and material processes. In her works made of wood and textile materials, she explores growth and transformation, thereby shifting the familiar boundaries between humans, animals and microorganisms – a shift in perspective on the relationship between the body and the environment. Together, the photographic and installation-based works create a field of tension between construction and organic transformation.
