In her project, this year's resident Virginia Lorenzetti explores the relationship between body and space as well as between inner and outer shell. Based on the architecture of the Kunstverein, in particular the historic vaulted ceilings, she is developing a site-specific textile installation that can be read as a "second skin" of the space.

With light, fragile textiles, moulds of walls and vaults and the deep blue of iron gall ink, she is creating a work that makes memory, transformation and the memory of places visible. The space is not understood as a neutral container, but as a palimpsest of traces, stories and human presence.
