‘Half Bitten – Half Whispered’
17th Traditional Christmas Exhibition at Erotic Advent

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear friends of art,

We warmly invite you to the 17th edition of our traditional Christmas exhibition on Thursday 26 November 2026 at 7 pm to the opening reception at the kunst & eros gallery for a sensual artistic experience. Under this year’s title ‘Half Bitten – Half Whispered’ – borrowed from Paul Fleming’s famous Baroque poem on the perfect balance between passion and tenderness – the gallery presents works by Saxon artists in the fields of painting, printmaking, drawing and porcelain sculpture.

Experience the fascinating interplay of emotions in the works of Silvia Klöde (porcelain sculpture), Nadine Wölk (ballpoint pen drawings), Chris Löhmann (black-and-white drawings), Steffen Fischer (pastels) and Hans Jürgen Reichelt (etchings & paintings). The exhibition is further enriched by works by Karen Gäbler, Studio Zschocke, Gunter Langer and Peter Herzog.

The evening will be accompanied by the atmospheric music of the Dresden-based saxophonist Roger Tietke. Known for his smoky sound and his ability to intuitively engage with different soundscapes and the artworks, he creates a unique and inspiring atmosphere.

Look forward to a culturally rich evening full of art, music and stimulating encounters.

We look forward to your visit!

Nowhere else but to the mouth
for there it sinks to the very depths of the heart.
Not too free, not too constrained
not with tongues that are too lazy.

Not too little, not too much!
Otherwise, both become child’s play.
Not too loud, nor too soft
The right way is in the balance between the two.

Not too close, nor too far.
The former causes sorrow, the latter grief.
Not too dry, nor too moist
as Adonis offered to Venus.

Not too hard, not too soft.
Sometimes at the same time, sometimes not.
Not too slow, not too fast.
Not without regard for the occasion.

Half bitten, half breathed.
Lips half-submerged.
Not without regard for the right moment.
More in solitude than amongst people.

Let every man now kiss
as he knows, wishes, ought and is able to.
Only I and my beloved know
how we ought to kiss properly.

‘However he wishes to be kissed’

Paul Fleming, 1642
