In a synopsis of the photo project PLATTENBAU PRIVAT by Susanne Hopf/Natalja Meier and the Hellerau assembly furniture in the GDR, the exhibition touches on questions of design culture around 1970 and living culture around the year 2000. Using original items on loan from the Dresden Museum of Decorative Arts, the question of the foundations and development of Hellerau system furniture in the GDR is posed.
