Future Ruins / Zukunftsruinen – Marí Bohley & Robert Richter
30.10.2026 — 04.12.2026
Painting, calligraphy and book art
In Future Ruins, two distinct artistic approaches come together, both exploring transience, memory and change. The exhibition by Marí Bohley and Robert Richter opens up a dialogue between calligraphy and book art, painting, urban imagery and digital influences.
Marí Bohley combines traditional craft techniques with personal stories, memories and moods. Her works focus on writing, paper and materials – as well as what becomes visible and palpable between the lines. Robert Richter combines influences from graffiti and digital experimentation with painting on canvas and in public spaces. His works explore the relationship between people, nature and technology, as well as the social changes of our time.
Both artists approach, in different ways, the question of what traces remain and how meanings change over time. Future Ruins interprets ruins not only as signs of decay, but also as a starting point for new perspectives and possibilities. The exhibition invites visitors to look more closely, to discover similarities and differences, and to reflect on the relationship between the past, present and future. From what remains, something new can always emerge.
