In his drawings and paper reliefs, Berlin-based artist and psychoanalyst Frank Taffelt explores the field of geometry and tectonic settings. At the same time, he subverts their rigour and clarity.

Numerous lines applied with a biro now fill bulging, shiny metallic square surfaces or fine irregularities intersperse the clear grid of paper images covered with stripes.

This allows a delicate to dramatic organic moment to emerge that not only eludes visual tangibility.
