Fr, 23. Mai 2025, 18:00 Uhr: Gruppenausstellung des Studios für Zeitbasierte Medien, Jan-Evangelista-Purkyne-Universität Usti nad Labem
23.05.2025 — 24.05.2025

Based In Media Times
Generation Z is not only an observer, but also a driving force of cultural change. The exhibition by the Studio for Time-Based Media presents works by students who explore their generation's ambivalent relationship to technological progress. What tensions arise between trust in technology as a tool of liberation and fear of its misuse for manipulation? Is the digital space a platform for self-expression or a new form of domination?
In their works, the artists critically reflect on key phenomena of our time: the fusion of human identity with digital tools, the conflict between idealised visions of the future of technology and its darker side, and the transformation of privacy in an environment where algorithms determine the value and direction of human life. Their approach reveals a generation-specific dialogue with technology - ambivalent, provocative and always in search of a balance between enthusiasm and scepticism.
