In David Morgenstern's painterly work, space and scale alternate in a state of permanent change and fluctuation. Be it the space of the human body, the imagined architectural construct or the sometimes undefined surrounding space, everything remains and becomes transitory and vague.

By means of nuanced chromatic gradation, the artist develops a barely tangible and locatable atmosphere of his fictional places, which could have sprung from Italo Cavino's "Invisible Cities".
