The ‘Andreas Hildebrandt’ research laboratory is a swirling powerhouse of imagery that generates an unfathomable array of variations. He carves the structures he uses or develops into linoleum. They overlap on the picture plane. Their beams of light expand, grow and seek to crystallise. The printed image generates turbulence, indifference or moiré patterns. The techniques are conceptually devised by the artist. He works in series, which are also compiled into books.
