Aktionskunst-Mut-Workshop der Radikalen Töchter für junge Erwachsene ab 16
22.08.2026 — 23.08.2026
What makes the workshop special
Radikale Töchter take the ‘Courage Muscle’ workshop to the places where young people live, learn and get involved: in neighbourhoods, schools and clubs. Through performance art, political education and creative methods, they encourage teenagers and young adults to get involved and raise awareness of the issues that matter to them. Their approach combines action, art and politics with the aim of inspiring people to take action and strengthening democratic participation.
The workshop demonstrates how political anger can be transformed into courage, expression and creative agency. Participants learn to articulate their own concerns, develop creative forms of expression and find ways to play an active role in shaping their world. This is not about dry theory, but about lively debate, collaborative experimentation and practical implementation.
Why this approach is important
Radikale Töchter believe that the world needs new visions to overcome current challenges. This requires courage, enthusiasm for democratic values, and political and civic engagement. The workshop creates a space in which young people can engage with social issues and develop their own positions.
Critical thinking and a passion for political debate also play an important role. Participants discover that differing perspectives are not only permitted but also valuable. This creates a learning environment that takes idealistic ideas just as seriously as controversial discussions.
Working with action art
The focus is on engaging with political action art. Participants learn to understand taking a stand as an artistic practice and to use emotions as a resource for social engagement. Using 11 methods of action art, they develop ideas, interventions, performances or other forms of expression.
The workshop fosters critical thinking, the ability to engage in discourse and the desire to put one’s own ideas into practice. This not only produces creative outcomes but also builds courage, resilience and a stronger awareness of one’s own capacity for political action. The aim is to inspire young people to engage with democracy and political participation in the long term.
