25. Liquid Sound Festival Toskana Therme Bad Schandau

07.11.2026 — 08.11.2026

25. Liquid Sound Festival Toskana Therme Bad Schandau

The festival programme forms a network linking the music scene between Dresden and the Czech Republic, and between Hellerau and Ústí, with Bad Schandau. The Toskana Therme Bad Schandau is set to become an international cultural hub.

For the first time, the Liquid Sound Festival is part of the Czech-German Cultural Days organised by the Elbe-Labe Euroregion. For the first time, the PHONON collective from Ústí (Czech Republic) will install an Ambisonics sound system, which will enable a new level of exceptionally intense listening experience in the Liquid Sound Temple.

The fact that festival-goers in Bad Schandau have a whole night to enjoy these boundary-breaking, charitable connections is largely thanks to the “Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Art and Culture in Rural Saxony e.V.”, based in Bad Schandau, which has taken the lead in organising these collaborations in partnership with the Medien Kunst network from Dresden. Special thanks go to Andreas Ullrich from the C. Rockefeller Centre for Contemporary Arts Dresden for establishing the international cultural networks, as well as Stachy.DJ, who is the artistic director of the Liquid Sound Club series at the Toskana Therme.

There will be two areas within the thermal baths where festival performances and installations will take place: a main stage for the concert programme and DJ sets, as well as the Liquid Sound Temple as a second floor for international sound experiments. In the Panorama Sauna, there will be a ‘literary infusion’ in the form of a Czech-German reading from ‘True Hallucinations’ by Terence McKenna.

Anyone familiar with the spirit of the Liquid Sound Festival at the Toskana Therme knows just how diverse the artistic exploration of the element of water can be, and that bathing in light and music – half dreaming, half dancing – is as exciting as it is relaxing. The longest bathing night of the year is just long enough for the extensive festival programme on 7–8 November 2026!

The artists performing at the Liquid Sound Festival come from Taiwan, Spain, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Poland, India, Cambodia, Dresden and Berlin.
