23. Liquid Sound Festival 2. November // 18:00 Uhr - 3. November // 9:00 Uhr

The longest bathing night of the year!

Half dreaming, half dancing, bathers enjoy a programme of live and electronic music, light and video projections from Saturday evening to Sunday morning. For a whole long night, the three exceptional thermal baths will be the setting for this unique festival.

The programme starts on Saturday, 2 November at 18:00 and ends on Sunday at 09:00. On the stage above the water, there will be concert highlights, fantastic video art, the nightly Liquid Sound Club acts and, to round things off, early morning fog music between the last dream in the deckchair and the first espresso in the bistro bar.

Festival programme

We can't reveal everything yet, but we can reveal a lot about the Liquid Sound Festival 2024 programme. The live highlights in Bad Schandau:

  • Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder - 30th anniversary concert. Five musicians in different constellations.

  • Thet à Thet. Sonny & Anthony Thet, cello & vocals. Mix of instrumentals and adult pop.

  • Joshua Sam Miller. Homage to the sound and creatures of the ocean. Ambient percussions with melodies.

  • Special guest: WHAIA CREATION. First Nations singer, performer, multi-instrumentalist from New Zealand.

  • Thermal Flow Dance - ANDY IX. Choreographic performance around the Liquid Sound Festival pools.

The Liquid Sound Club programme starts at 1:00 am with:

DJ slots onstage:

  • Der Vinylizer aka Marcus Maack (Hamburg/DJ-set). Marcus Maack from Hamburg broadcasts weekly on the radio station ByteFM and focusses on sub-bass both there and at the club night WobWob! You can hardly hear them on normal kitchen radios, they only come to life on a good sound system. But what happens underwater? His radio series Back To The Basics has become an integral part of the Hanseatic city, because for almost 30 years he has been giving artists from many genres of urban subculture the opportunity to listen to well-selected music on the radio. #BTTB #electronicmusic #vinyl

  • Micro7oft (AV_DIGITALIS, MDJ-set). At Micro7ft, the focus is not on the artist himself, the person, but on the music. In the good old tradition of the genres of the early days (house and techno), Micro7oft dispenses with the usual self-promotion and lets the music alone speak for itself. The choice of format for Micro7oft's set is no coincidence; on the contrary - the MiniDisc owes the revival of the format, which some of us will remember as MD, to the vaporwave scene. In recent years, their current releases have increasingly been taking place on what is probably the smallest and last haptic music format of the last millennium. And so Micro7oft will reveal a little of the secret of the genre with his festival set and play an exclusive DJ set (more precisely: MDJ set) explicitly from mini discs.  #MiniDisc #Vaporwave #millenial

  • Shizo van de Sunflower (Dresden/DJ-set) As an electro ambient DJ, Shizo van de Sunflower dives deep into the cosmic expanses of music. His tracks from the electro ambient album "Drone 1", characterised by the influences of Vangelis and Klaus Schulze, are a homage to the pioneers of electronic music. With spherical sounds, hypnotic rhythms and varied visuals, he creates immersive soundscapes that invite you to dream. #BerlinerSchule #ambient #electronicmusic

Tiefnacht #dreamtone area at Liquid Sound - Tempel:

  • Shannon Soundquist aka Antje Meichsner (Dresden/live) + mikromission (Dresden/live). mikromission is a musical friendship project between the artists Lasch and superciaooo from Dresden. The duo's sessions are organised as jams with synthesizers, bass, electric guitar, manipulated field recordings and vocals. Their atmospheric sound develops with the prevailing mood and often drifts into dreamy, melancholic to mystical, dark realms. At this year's Liquid Sound Festival mikromission will be performing in a joint session with Shannon Soundquist. #livetronica #ambient #drone
