Dresden Design Days 2026 – Design as a living dialogue

The first Dresden Design Days will take place from 21 to 23 August 2026. This new design festival will take place across various venues throughout Dresden’s cultural landscape, bringing together established designers, emerging talents and creative initiatives in an open dialogue.

Across a total of eight curated exhibitions, encounters take place between professional design practices and the experimental, unconventional approaches of young creatives.

The exhibition venues range from architectural landmarks such as the Alte Markthalle in Dresden’s Neustadt, through cultural institutions such as the Gallery Goldene Pforte and the C.Rockefeller Centre to the Design Werkstatt Dresden.

The Dresden Design Days view design not as an isolated discipline, but as part of urban life. By bringing together galleries, off-spaces and cultural venues, a festival of life is created. The 3xD is aimed at anyone interested in design: from professionals and students to the general public in Dresden and the surrounding area. The programme brings together a variety of perspectives and themes:
