The project series TANDEM initiated by the artists of the Dresdner Sezession 89 e.V. since 2021 focuses on artistic encounters as well as the juxtaposition of themes, disciplines and styles. The aim is to link and network different areas of society and different artistic disciplines. The focus is on the role and significance of women for art and society.

Art and design are two independent fields. Both create visual communication through the creative use of material, form and colour. Art is the free sister of applied art and design.

Valuable synergies between art studios and creative workshops can be seen and experienced in this exhibition project. In the creative interaction of applied and free art, the artists of the Dresdner Sezession 89 e.V. and the invited designer, with their artistic works developed from different positions, provide an insight into their collaborative work, characterised by the moving interaction of the respective perspectives and inspirations.
