With the exhibition WINTER IS COMING, Galerie Stephanie Kelly is responding to the cultural policy developments of recent months in cooperation with the FRIEREN ROOM. "CUTTINGS" was still hanging over Dresden like a sword of Damocles at the beginning of the year. The axe was to be laid not only in the area of culture, but also on social facilities, sports centres, public transport and city cleaning services. The city's quality of life seemed to be in real danger. Fortunately, greater evils in the area of cultural funding could be prevented, above all through civic commitment, such as the "Alliance against Cuts". But is the cow now off the ice? Or is it even knee-deep in the waterhole, which continues to gradually freeze over from the edges?

For the WINTER IS COMING exhibition, we would like to prepare for winter and hand over our space to the curation of the Berlin art space FRIEREN ROOM.
