So. 7.9.25, 19:00 Uhr Residenz-Vollmondkonzert mit Yenting Hsu (Taiwan) -Blutmond und Mondfinsternis Liquid Sound Tempel · Toskana Therme Bad Schandau
07.09.2025 — 08.09.2025

Unique constellations call for unique sounds:
On the evening of 7 September 2025, the Toskana Therme Bad Schandau will be bathed in a special light - and in an even more extraordinary sound space.
While the moon darkens completely above our heads and moves through the night sky as a glowing reddish blood moon, the guests of the Liquid Sound Temple will experience a composition that embraces this cosmic moment in sound.
The Taiwanese sound artist Yenting Hsu is an artist-in-residence at the C. Rockefeller Center Dresden and the recording studio of the Künstlerhaus Bad Schandau / Forplay Society for two months. During her residency, she will develop an immersive underwater concert that is customised to the special sound system of the thermal baths. Her composition combines natural sounds, electro-acoustic textures and poetic field recordings - for a listening experience that sounds underwater as if between worlds.
The concert begins at 7 pm.
The total lunar eclipse unfolds during the concert - a rare cosmic moment that transforms bathing in the light and sound of the full moon into a magical ritual.

Yenting Hsu uses the medium of experimental sound collage to explore the cultural context and structure of sounds. Her works often reflect the relationship between sounds, environment, individual and/or collective memories and emotions. Hsu interweaves field recordings with electronic sounds and objects, exploring and experimenting with documentary and fictional/narrative and imaginary elements of recorded sounds. In combination with other artistic media and disciplines, Hsu creates installations, performances, audio documentaries, electroacoustic music and much more. She also works as a sound designer/composer with dance theatres and film studios.
Her works have been shown at Taipei Artist Village, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taitung Art Museum, Digital Art Centre - Taipei, ChengLong Wetlands International Environmental Art Project (Taiwan), Taipei International Documentary Festival, Asian Meeting Festival (Japan),
