A video programme on the subject of the posthuman The posthuman video programme creates scenarios in which humans are no longer the focus, but are instead characterised by microorganisms, machines made of organic material or completely new types of living beings. The posthuman encourages us to abandon purely human perspectives and allow a more comprehensive coexistence with non-human beings in our world. This opens up new perspectives and makes various future scenarios conceivable. Ultimately, a discourse on harmonious coexistence with a non-human environment is sparked. The Posthuman cycle shows six videos by six artists from England and Germany. Current questions are raised about how our lives can be changed or further developed through science and the programming of machines. In addition, the audience is encouraged to rethink the current state of humanity. How could the essence of being human be redefined? How can we promote new ways of living together and caring in an age of ecological catastrophe, while technology, especially artificial intelligence, increasingly influences our existence?
