Saturday ° 26 July 2025 ° from 2 pm ° p66.gallery ° Plattleite 66 ° 01324 Dresden ° Under the title "works in progress" we are showing two ongoing long-term photographic projects by Adam Dreessen in a pop-up exhibition from 21 to 27 July. Both series explore the performing arts from different angles. In "tell me a story" portraits of performers, artists and creative people from the fields of dance and theatre have been created since 2015. The photo locations are chosen by the subjects themselves. They are places that are linked to their work or provide inspiration. The second series, "staged" on the other hand, depicts the performing arts venues themselves. These are portraits of empty rehearsal rooms, performance halls and theatre stages, captured in reduced black and white on medium-format film before or after a performance. Without an audience, only the now empty stage sets or isolated props and instruments bear witness to the productions at the respective location. Together, the two photographic works create a multi-layered portrait of the relationship between the people who tell stories and the spaces in which this art is brought to life.
