The Naked Photobooth is a participatory photo project in which people take their own nude photos in a pre-installed photo studio.
The process and the resulting photos remain exclusively with the participants.
The project invites participants to explore body images and self-perception.
The project will be accompanied by an exhibition of previous artistic research to illustrate the concept.

How do we feel when we are alone?
When we are naked?
When we look at ourselves in the mirror?
What body images do we think of? Who do we think of? Who do we compare ourselves to?
Do we feel comfortable?

The Naked Photobooth is a pre-installed photo studio without a photographer, where only the
participants have control over how, when and what is shown. Participants have the opportunity to photograph themselves naked in a closed room and look at their own body through a camera lens, abstract their own perception and detach themselves from it in order to take a new, different look at themselves and their own body. It's about feeling comfortable in a safe, private space, having fun and playfully engaging with your own body. All of the resulting photos are exclusively for the participants and will only be seen by them in order to promote independence and free them from possible external judgement.

Who are we without clothes, without status symbols?
Are we happy in this form, in being naked?

The project focuses on self-perception, self-worth and acceptance. It invites you to consciously focus on your own body. In this moment of self-determination and freedom, social norms of
body images can be questioned and let go.
The Hole of Fame as an important Dresden cultural space in the heart of Neustadt and fundamentally Dresden as a city with a diverse culture of discourse and great joy in participation, appears to be the ideal place to host this project.
