Lucid | Julius Stahl

06.09.2018 — 30.09.2018

PYLON-Lab is pleased to announce the solo exhibition “Lucid” by sound and media artist Julius Stahl, which opens on September 6.

As visual extensions, Stahl’s works reinterpret the seemingly one-dimensional phenomenon of sound and its perception. Similar to “lucid dreaming” where one knows that she or he is dreaming, his works reflect a similar kind of awareness and create consciousness for the subtle nature of the otherwise immaterial matter.

Stahl lives and works in Berlin and Dresden. His work has been exhibited amongst others at Ars Electronica Linz, Transmediale Berlin, ZKM Center for Art and Media Technology Karlsruhe, CYNETART Festival Dresden, Museum Dortmunder U, Skulpturmuseum Marl, Stichting IK Oost-Souburg.

For the exhibition, Stahl will present installations, resonant objects and pictoral works at PYLON-Lab.

You are welcome to join us for the opening on September 6th, from 7pm. The artist will be present.

The exhibition is generously supported by Landeshauptstadt Dresden - Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz.
