Jörg Gläscher: Echoland

17.05.2018 — 21.05.2018

Jörg Gläscher: Echoland
Europe. This is a multifaced continent with socio-political and cultural differences, with indistinct boundaries and historically charged landscapes: the hilly fields of Verdun, the coastlines of Lampedusa, the emptied out and vandalized streets of Athens or London after just another street riot. This is society where it happens.
Europe, where it is being negotiated, in contrast, is a place of neon lights and assembly rooms, of black suits and microphones, press interviews and handshaking. It is a site where representatives are debating integration and negotiating diplomacy. In the hallways of the European Parliament, the offices of the EU Commission or the lobby of the Council of the European Union decisions for millions are being made.

The exhibition is part of the festivals B-Europe and is supported by the program Grenzgänger of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
