HANDLUNGsRAUM (project series since 2020)

means focussing on the promotion of contemporary art by women whose works are primarily

in the conceptual field as well as in the new visual media and whose content is guided by

overarching themes. The invited artists

shift their artistic work into the gallery for

a specific period of time, i.e. into the public eye, thus providing

insight into the processes of their artistic thinking and acting.

During the designated opening hours, the

processes of the artistic development of the 2024 JUST EXIST project can be followed in personal discussions with the artists and the

perspectives for a better understanding of these art forms can be exchanged.

The artists U. S. Buchart and Theresa Tuffner present a process-oriented installation in

the sense of the space of action of Gallery 3. Painterly and sculptural works interweave, like a

metamorphosis, with sound and the artists during the exhibition process. Spread out

fabric panels and sculptural set pieces on the floor and walls are changed with every action required,

called "flow" here. In addition, four ceremonies

will take place during the exhibition period, each lasting around 60 minutes. The transformation processes taking place here

are dedicated less to achieving specific goals than to pausing in a poetic way.

I am immersed in a blurred, then radiant, glowing bed of colour. My senses buzz, vibrate and scan. I breathe

in deeply and exhale slowly. Soft patches of colour colour my arms and cover my body. The image of myself

begins to dissolve. A sense of safety flows through my now ghostly shell and I lie, melt and even swim

through colours and lights, free to think, feel and breathe animalistically. My cells, my spirit, my body shell,

radiate further and further, dissolving bit by bit.

I inhale slowly and exhale.
