Photographs by children and young people aged 4 - 25 will be on display. Whether everyday life, holidays, the environment or very intimate moments: We can immerse ourselves in different worlds of children and young people, allowing us to catch brief glimpses. The presentation of the images as photographs, GIF animations, photo series or photo books is also varied. The participants submitted a colourful mix of photographic works, in colour and black and white, AI-generated or staged as avatars, for example. Let yourself be surprised by the fascinating moments in the lives of young people.

The presentation in our rooms should also surprise you, as the concept and the complete design of the exhibition is the responsibility of a group of young photography enthusiasts. During the autumn holidays, they will stage the German Youth Photo Award in the Fotoforum in a completely new way, which means that the photographic works have been curated from the perspective of young people for the first time.

After 2022, we are bringing the award-winning exhibition of the German Youth Photo Award to Dresden for the second time. Under the title "May we offer you the you?", the expansive installation was shown from 13 September to 4 October 2024 at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, where the main prizes were also awarded Afterwards it will travel to Dresden, where it will be on display for four weeks in a new design.
