DAVE HELWIG & BAND
USA – Blues Rock – European Tour 2026

Guitar/Vocals: Dave Helwig
Bass: Gary J. Steinmann
Drums: Patrick Flynn

Dave Helwig is an American blues and heavy rock guitarist. His style is inspired by his favourites,  Led Zeppelin.

Dave has previously worked with Ross Valory (bassist with Journey), Ronnie Montrose (as a singer), Gregg Bisonette, Prairie Prince, Polo Jones,

Jeff Babko, Ric Feliciano, Bill Churchville, Terry Landry, Tom Weir and others.

Dave Helwig’s latest singles, ‘It’s One of Those Days’, released on 29 September 2023, and ‘On My Way Back Home’, released on 8 December 2023,

showcase Dave’s roots in blues-infused rock ’n’ roll. Featuring POLO JONES (Zucchero) on bass, GREGG BISONETTE (Ringo Starr) on drums and JEFF BABKO (Robben Ford)

on the B3 organ. As well as an all-star horn section on “It’s One of Those Days”. RIC FELICIANO (John Lee Hooker Jr.) on horn arrangements and trombone,

BIOLL CHURCHVILLE (Elton John) on trumpet, and TERRY LANDRY (Stevie Wonder) on tenor and baritone saxophone. Recorded and mixed by

TOM WEIR (Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart).

Helwig’s love of music is not only audible to his audience, but also palpable. Proof of this came when Dave and his band, as the support act for Robert Cray, received
four standing ovations. Shortly afterwards, Helwig was asked to sing as lead vocalist for the legendary RONNIE MONTROSE, including on the hits ‘Rock Candy’,

‘Make it Last’ and ‘Bad Motor Scooter’. Whilst on the Central Coast, Dave Helwig performed alongside PAT TRAVERS, with whom he masterfully

exchanged guitar riffs, earning him an endorsement deal with Baker Guitars. All this led to features in ‘Guitar Player Magazine’ and to appearances

at the renowned NAMM Show. In the late 1990s, Dave released a highly acclaimed EP with ROSS VALORY of Journey and PRAIRIE PRINCE of The Tubes.

Helwig’s music was frequently played on the radio and received rave reviews.&

Carla Haye from BAM magazine wrote: “Dave Helwig is the epitome of rock.”

One thing is certain: Dave Helwig loves connecting with his audience – no matter how large it is or where he’s performing.
This has earned him a reputation as an artist whose performances are an unforgettable experience.
