The documentation of the disappearance and transformation of nature under the influence of human activity, depicted through the images of the Turów open-cast mine in Poland. This open-cast mine is a metaphor for industrial intervention, in which the earth loses its natural forms and content and is transformed into a scorched landscape. Coal mining becomes not only a physical cut in the earth's surface, but also a symbol of the extinction of nature under the influence of the heat generated by the coal itself.
