Screening of the DCA video competition CAPTURING NOWNESS / Im Hier und Jetzt KRAFTWERK MITTE, 21.9.24 from 4 pm

DresdenContemporaryArt, Netzwerk Medien Kunst, the Medienkulturzentrum Dresden and the C.Rockefeller Center have launched an open call for submissions of artistic short films on the subject of CAPTURING NOWNESS / Im Hier und Jetzt on the occasion of the DCA Open Gallery Tour. The results of the competition will be shown on an LED video wall for one month from 21.9.24, 4pm. 

For this Public Art View, we were looking for unique perspectives that capture the moment and capture the essence of the present, eternal moment.

The jury from Netzwerk Medien Kunst has selected 10 contributions from Dresden artists and is looking forward to presenting them on the roof of the Media Culture Centre, Kraftwerk Mitte 3, from 21.9.24.

Capturing Nowness - In the Here and Now is part of the cooperation between Netzwerk Medien Kunst and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei. The programme will also be on show for a month from the end of November at the Public Art Display in front of the museum in Taipei. As part of the  joint screening programme, 10 works by Taiwanese media artists will also be shown as part of the screening in Dresden. 

The implementation is supported by the cultural department of the Taipei Representation in Berlin.
