21.9.24 19 Uhr – DCA Rundgang Spezial: BIOREMEDIATION – Felix Ermacora und Deborah Geppert
21.09.2024 — 24.09.2024
Bioremediation is a process in which living organisms such as
bacteria, fungi or plants are used to clean polluted soil,
water or air. These organisms help to convert harmful
pollutants, such as oils, heavy metals or pesticides, into less harmful
substances or break them down completely.
The absurdity lies in the fact that humans pollute the environment and
then ironically rely on nature's self-healing powers to reverse the
damage through bioremediation.
Felix Ermacora and Deborah Geppert create an expansive
multimedia installation that explores the connection between nature and technology
and questions the social separation of humans from nature
. This immersive installation combines multichannel sounds,
materials and visual elements to create a sensory experience
in which visitors can immerse themselves in a dynamic environment. The
different acoustic and haptic components create a
complex, multi-layered atmosphere that invites exploration and reflection.
For the DCA Tour 2024, Felix and Deborah invite you to enjoy the immersive
experience with a meal from nature and thus confront the
complex question of an impossible separation.
