On Saturday, March 18, Kunsthaus Dresden invites you to a one-day festival at robotron-Kantine under the title Cantine Vivante from 3 to 10 pm. As the cold season transitions to warmer weather, the festival celebrates the robotron canteen in Dresden as a vibrant temporary space for art and music with live concerts, performances and video screenings of films made on site this year and last.

Admission is free. Donations are requested for emergency aid for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

In addition to concerts by the psychedelic-pop band Tinted House (Dresden), the hip-hoppers Persé & C.C. Estrés (Dresden), Juno Lee (IndiePop Berlin) and the (anti-)folk band Stanley Brinks & Freschard (Berlin), the festival will show, among other things, one of the magical “Still Lifes” by Enrico Sutter (Dresden), a futuristic as well as surreal setting between painting and sculpture, brought to life by performers and electronic music: A living image emerges.
Simultaneous to the concerts and performances, music videos created in collaboration with the Kunsthaus Dresden in 2022 and 2023 will be shown in the industrial ambience of the rooms: “Dreams of Consciousness” produced by a team of performers and electronic musicians around objekt klein A will be presented as well as video productions by artists as diverse as Persé, Moritz Simon Geist and qrauer.
The festival program, which starts in the afternoon and is suitable for different generations and families, will be rounded off with Coffee, Cakes & Drinks by KAWA Espressobar and a culinary performance in the Mini-Canteen.
